Say hello to the one and only, Eleanor. (You may bow, she’s used to it).
Treat her with T-L-C and R-E-S-P-E-C-T, and she will get you from A to B, and back to A, which is essential to the whole concept of a rental.
Most of the juicy details of Eleanor’s celebrity biography can be found in the Owner's Manual in the glove box. But here are the E! True Hollywood highlights:
Fuel: Gasoline. 87 Octane or higher please. She has very particular taste, and this is the only drink she likes.
Height: She stands at an elegant 9 1/4 ft (111in), so when accompanying this lovely lady out on the town, please be mindful of the heights of parking garages, bridges, low-hanging branches and their fruit, and anything else that might make her a few inches shorter or give her an untimely haircut.
Driving in Weather: She is an AWD Colorado native, which means she’s not only warm, but also handles nicely in the snow. That being said, even the smoothest of operators doesn’t look cool and collected when sliding cartoonishly on four desperate wheels. So use caution when driving in inclement weather.
Securing Cargo: Attractive as she is on the outside, no one knows better than Eleanor that it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Please fold up and store the shelves when not in use, and securely attach all gear in the back using the D-Rings around the floor perimeter, as well as the e-track fittings and ratchet straps to tie everything down. As Eleanor is fond of saying, “safe cargo makes a safe car go.”
Folding / Swivel Cargo Ramp: Be sure to treat her right by reading the instructions for using the folding ramp are on the card in the back.
Keys: We have spare keys for both the van and the Slick Locks, so if you have lost the keys please let us know before calling a locksmith. The Slick Locks can sometimes be a little tricky, so if you're having trouble we recommend pressing on it lightly with the palm of your hand and then trying again.
Mileage: Your rental includes 30 miles per day, free to you and on the house. Mileage exceeding the included 30 mile daily limit will be charged at a rate of $0.75 per additional mile.
Toll Roads: Being the chic, cosmopolitan socialite that she is, Eleanor has an EZ Pass so you can drive on E-470, the Northwest Parkway and I-25 (Express Lane). The tolls will be automatically billed and passed along in the final invoice.
Cleaning: We love to see Eleanor come back home with the same lovely lines and polished glow that she left with, so please take all your trash and gear with you, and broom sweep her out before returning.
